Acknowledgment of Risk:
Participation in skating classes involves inherent risks, including but not limited to slips, falls, collisions, and injuries. These risks can result in physical or emotional injury, paralysis, or damage to personal property. By participating, you accept full responsibility for these risks, whether known or unknown.

Medical Authorization:
In the event of an emergency, staff or instructors are authorized to secure medical treatment if deemed necessary. Any medical expenses incurred as a result of participation are the responsibility of the participant or their guardian.

Release of Liability:
SkatingHour Corp., its owners, employees, instructors, and agents are not liable for any claims, liabilities, demands, or causes of action arising from participation in skating classes, including those resulting from negligence.

Photographic and Media Release:
Photographs or videos may be taken during classes and used for promotional purposes, including social media, websites, and printed materials. No compensation will be provided for such use.

Safety Guidelines:
To ensure the safety of all participants, the following guidelines must be followed:

  1. Mandatory Equipment:

    • All students must wear CSA-approved caged helmets and woolen gloves while on the ice.

    • Failure to comply with this requirement will result in removal from the class without any refund.

  2. Skate Preparation:

    • Skates must be tied properly before entering the rink.

  3. Timeliness:

    • Late arrivals (beyond 20 minutes from the start of the session) will not be allowed on the ice, and no refunds will be provided.

  4. Compliance with Instructions:

    • All participants must follow the instructor’s directions.

    • Instructors reserve the right to deny entry or cancel future sessions without refund for failure to comply with safety rules or instructions.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:
Our cancellation and refund policy is designed to ensure clarity and fairness for all clients.

  1. Pre-Season Cancellation:

    • If you wish to cancel your season before the start date, it is only allowed if requested at least 72 hours before the start date.

    • All cancellation requests must be sent via email to contact@skatinghour.com.

    • Cancellation requests made after this timeframe will not be accepted.

  2. Missed Classes:

    • General Attendance:

      • Participants are expected to attend all scheduled classes.

      • A 72-hour notice is required if you are unable to attend a scheduled class for any reason. Failure to provide this notice will result in the class being charged in full, with no refunds, make-up classes, or credits provided.

    • Travel Plans:

      • If you plan to travel, a 15-day notice is required via email to contact@skatinghour.com.

      • If a make-up class is not scheduled by the organizer, a credit note will be issued for the missed time. This credit note will be valid for one year from the date of issuance.

    • Rescheduling:

      • Each participant is allowed to reschedule one class during the season with A 72-hour  notice .

      • Make-up classes are subject to availability. If no suitable make-up class is available, the missed class will be charged in full, and no refund or credit will be provided.

  3. Medical Emergencies:

    • In the case of medical emergencies, clients may submit a request for a partial refund in the form of a credit.

    • A doctor’s prescription must be submitted with the request.

    • Credit requests must be made before the commencement of your third session.

    • Approval of credit requests is subject to team review and is not guaranteed. Submission of a request does not promise or confirm the issuance of a credit.

    • Approved credits will be valid for one year from the date of issuance and can only be applied to future programs.

  4. Coach/Organizer-Initiated Cancellations:

    • Class Postponement: If a class is postponed due to unforeseen circumstances, students will be notified promptly, and the class will be rescheduled with short notice of less than 24 hours.

    • Class Cancellation: If a class is canceled entirely by the organizer, students will receive credit toward another program.

  5. Weather or Facility-Related Cancellations:

    • Classes canceled due to weather or rink closures will either be rescheduled or credited at no additional cost with short notice of less than 24 hours.

    • Refunds will not be provided for weather-related cancellations unless rescheduling is unavailable.

By participating in skating classes, you acknowledge and accept all the terms and conditions outlined above, including the safety guidelines and the cancellation and refund policy.
